November Chapter Meetings

The Charlotte Chapter November meeting of the North Carolina Transportation Maintenance Council will be on Tuesday, November 10 at 6:00 PM.

This month’s meeting will be at Excel Truck Group – Charlotte (Formerly Charlotte Truck Center ), 4633 Equipment Drive in Charlotte . (Directions: From I-85, take Graham Street , Exit 40. Go north 1/2 block and turn right on Equipment Drive . Go .4 miles and Excel Truck Group/Charlotte Truck Center will be on the left. Phone: 704-597-1110.)

For our program, Excel Truck Group/Charlotte Truck Center and Detroit Diesel will provide an update on Proper DPF Maintenance and the Impact of GHG17 on the Trucking Industry.

Emissions standards and technologies are changing fleet maintenance recommendations and practices.

One of the most critical is the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter). Our November program will discuss proper maintenance of DPF and offer tips to enhance DPF life and minimize operation costs.

In addition, we will take a look at GHG17 and what it will mean for maintenance operations.

To ensure adequate seating and materials, send an e-mail to bethc@fleetnetamerica.com or call (800) 280-1244 and ask for Beth Crawford, Ext 2380 and let us know you plan to attend.

THE NOVEMBER MEETING OF THE EASTERN CHAPTER WILL BE ON NOVEMBER 12.
Mark Darling, a Snap-on Industrial Account Manager, will be our guest speaker for November. We will be meeting at Big Boys Truck Stop / Lowell Mill Restaurant off of I-95 Exit 105 near Kenly. The meeting will start at 7pm. The meal will be buffet and the cost will $12 -$15, depending on the number we have attending. The more we have, the better the price so plan on attending and invite some friends. Below is a list of the topics he will be presenting. Look forward to seeing everyone there.
